How can I tell if this 98' is a Real SS?

Is there a code I can check for in the door panel or something that tells me that it is a true SS from the factory? It has the spoiler hood and badges but that just doesn't seem like enough for me.. Also how can I tell if it was sent to SLP or if it was just a factory SS... Its a 1998

Open the driver door and find the RPO codes. Down near the bottom, you want to look for the code WU8. If you find that code, its an authentic SS.

The RPO codes are just the several codes printed on the sticker in the door panel correct? They are basically the same place you would find the paint code for the car right? (I work at a parts store and have looked at a few for paint codes and such)

Correct, the WU8 is down at the bottom IIRC.

There are a few ways to tell, but some of them had an SLP sticker on the passenger door(same spot as the RPO cods on the driver door) with the options it received from SLP.

Would it have a Y2Y directly after the WU8 if it was a SLP car?
