how bad is it when you see metalshavings on oilchange?
im about to do the oil change on my 99 z28 ..it has a comp cam and other bolt ons ..its need the oil change bad .i was reading that some times u see metal shavings..its a 99 ,if i were to see any but i feel my car super strong .would that be ok in a way due to its age??
or should i start worring? new motor
i feel my car very good and strong ,now im just afraid to do the oil change and come across mettal shavings..
if that were to be the case wouldint i fell my car weak or hear noises?

It's normal to see very fine particles in your old oil due to normal engine wear, carbon and so forth..
After all your engine runs metal to metal parts inside..
With that said the particles should be very hard to see if @ all with your naked eyes..
If you had a bunch of shavings that are highly visible you would have known there was a problem long before now..
Not changing your oil is a bad thing.. Should always be done @ recommened change intervals..Last edited by Smittro; 03-11-2011 at 09:34 AM.
