Hood fitment hell that whole car is a hack job...
More things wrong than I can count, the biggest being it's not an RS and I doubt it's an SS...

Console was an option with a floor shift manual tranny and by the looks of the carpet it never had one.
Don't know if you noticed but the car appears to have been a floor shift manual when it was born. You look at the shot of the Vertigate (nice 4 gear manual shifter BTW) and the tranny tunnel looks to have the "hump" the factory put there to clear the shifter (which was mounted on the side of the tranny for both Saginaw and Muncie tranny's from the factory when it was ordered as a floor shift).
FWIW, most places show a shot of the trim tag (just above and to the right side -left side as you are looking at it - of the brake booster) with a 1st gen.
Q to all: How did I know it wasn't an RS????Last edited by 67CamaroRSSS; 06-03-2011 at 02:36 PM.

Yup. Most folks doing a clone miss that item.
I have a big reason for wanting to see the trim tag on that car. From the looks of it the heater box is a BBC type (not that you can't do that with a clone - before repop items were made you just used one from a Firebird). The TT will state whether or not it's an SS and whether or not it's a 396 SS vs a 350 SS.
There are a variety of other items to look at (exhaust hanger on the left side and firewall piercing for the speedo cable among them) to determine provenance...
If you know you have a SBC 4V/4-speed 67 Camaro and know what you're looking for you can even tell an L30/M20 from an L48/M20 without any exterior clues just by knowing what hole was pierced in the firewall for the speedo cable.

Well i damn sure am not a first gen camaro expert, but i know a 454 was not available in 67,cheap azz cowl hood looks terrible, and damn you would need a tenuous shot to change the air filter.

454 didn't come out til 70MY but they did put 396's (L34 and later L78) in 67 Camaros starting in November. This was done to compete with Ford offering the 390 (and later 428 for 68) in the 67 Mustang.
FWIW my current 67 didn't have an engine or tranny when I bought it back in 86. I put a wild 427 (later mild 454 to drive) and TH400 with an original 67 Camaro 12 bolt (they're unique to that year and car) stuffed with gennie GM 4.10 gears.
Certain items on the car in the ad points to it being an original BB car.67 Camaro: K-K + 797-z (look it up), 454/Th400/4.10 12-bolt = 6mpg, PS/PDB/PW tilt, tach, gauges...
