    help on production ###

    i am about to buy a 1999 ss and the guy says it is a rare car because it has a hardtop is this true ??//

    yep, most of cars were t-tops. And many SS were loaded with options, so a hardtop SS is fairly rare. You can also call SLP and they will tell you the specific build # for your SS.

    Either he really doesn't know much about 4th gen Camaro's or he is trying to give you one hell of a sales pitch. Don't fall into the thought I should buy this "rare" car because its a hardtop, there are lots of hardtops out there.
