    headlight issue!

I am sad to say driving my camaro at night isnt currently an option! The headlights wont turn on. I have all other lights including tailights, marker lights and fog lamps but no headlights.

I changed the headlight switch as I heard clicking coming from it and they worked for a week then crapped out again. Smells kinda funny when I turn the lights on and the old switch was burnt on the points...

Anyone had a similar problem? Any idea what to do other than pay the professionals a fortune?

Thanks for your help! The nice car driging season is rapicly closing and dark comes early these days!

might be a fuse? Can you see where the burnt smell specifically is coming from? If you can see a wire is burnt through might have to get some new wires. Pics would be beneficial, good luck.

Thanks for the advice...looks like the burnt is coming from the points on the headlight switch. After changing the switch though the problem returned. I am assuming that means from somewhere a load is being put onto that switch. I will take a look and follow some wires I guess. I was hoping maybe it was a relay or something.

Make sure the fuse is the correct amps.

Thank you all for the input...just so you would know I discovered the problem. It was in the headlight module in behind the stereo. We saudered a connection and are good to go. Thnaks again for the help.
