Guys with the center exhaust systems on the SS

Do they make aftermarket exhaust systems for that? I found a 02 SOM SS I really want and I just wanted to get an opinion on it first.

I am not sure that I understand you? You are saying that you found a Camaro and it has the CME on it and you want to know if you can hook the CME up to another cat-back? Of course you can! It's easy!

Well what I was saying is I know the stocker is a SLP system on it. SLP Catback that is. I wanted to know if Magnaflow or GMMG or Bassani make an after market system that fits that bumper set up or would you have to replace the whole muffler

Not to be rude, but everyone asks the same question about the CME. Cat-backs are cat-backs. It doesn't matter what brand it is. 99% of them are adjustable, meaning the tailpipes are slip fit connections.

The CME consists of a valence and a set of tips. Look under a car with a CME and you will notice that the tips are there own seperate piece and (2) 90 degree mandrel bent pieces are attached to it. So in reality, you can hook a CME up to any cat-back, with minor trimming.

Now, one thing that may cause a bump in the road, is if the cat-backs tailpipes are larger than 2.5". If so, you will need a reducer.

Here is a pic of my CME on a Pypes 3" catback with 3" tailpipes. Notice the reducer!

I wasn't payin 900 for an item that went for 260 new from SLP
I tried two aftermarket ones. but they looked like Ass.. I will bide my time and get either one of the two piece ones. Or find an SLP one for reasonable... Or I will live with it the way it is. I am "accustomed" to the look at this time. So it's not a big deal for me.

I converted my magnaflow catback to CME. It can be done. The following site has the valence and tips.

Yep,,,that is what happens when this stuff gets discontinued. I look for the factory ones to go even higher as years go by. Pretty typical of any old car part,,especially something that was very scarce already when it was new.
