    Frame of a v8 stronger then v6 ?

Ok, So I'm building a 427 and I want to buy a Camaro to drop it in just for the track. But I want to know if theres a difference in the frames. Is the one with the v8 built stronger or are they the same.
    Thanks

im pretty sure theres no difference. . . id look for a v6 thats wrecked with no frame damage just cosmetic (if you dont mind a little body work to save some money). . . that would be a good candidate. but definately plan on some sfc's

There's a lot of v6 camaro's out there for cheap. That is why im asking.
I'd rather find one with a good body, less work. LOL I already have a to-do list a mile long.

BTW How wide of a tire can you run on a camaro? 1999 up

you can get some pretty wide tires, ofcourse stuff like backspacing makes a difference. ive seen 255's and 275's fit no prob, ive seen some guys on here running 315's, i think they may need some work, but they stick out about an inch.

You can fit 315's pretty well with a 10.5 rim. I have an 11" rim and it hits the bump stops which would need to be trimmed back.

They are the same, however I always recommend that on a build of that caliber you tie the frames together and reinforce the control arm mounting area

+1. drive one with and without. You'll be amazed at how much "squish" disapears with SFC.
