f-1 camaro's
hey, does anyone know anything about said camaro's? are they super rare? just curious, thanks folks!

This is a package available through most dealerships. It offers a variety of performance and cosmetic parts from the GM Performance Group. The following is a list of the parts for the F1-Camaro (and for the Firebird-GT) and can be ordered for your Z28 or Formula through your dealership:

So what is the difference between the f1 and the regular LS1 f-bodys. I know from z28 is appereance, gears and suspension.

So if it started out as an ss, it went from canada, to slp, then back to somewhere else to get rid of the ss parts and make it an f1?? That seems like a waste of parts in my opinion. I would figure they would send it from canada to wherever to be made into the f1. Who actually turned it into an f1? Dealerships or what? This is just kind of interesting as the history of these cars seems a bit hazy.

I just noticed too yours was a 98-02 model that looks like an ss with ground effects, what about the previous model years like in the picture above?

i think what he was trying to say, and i could be wrong here, is that when they started the f.1 package that it was meant to fill the void of the ss package. kinda like the iroc package back in the 80's. i don't think that they would have stripped slp ss cars of parts just to make a different car out of it.

is there a standard amount of parts put onto a car to make it the f1 package or is it just whatever the person who ordered it wanted? this whole thing seems fishy.

Mine was converted by the Dealer before I bought it. It was sitting on the show room floor and when I saw it I had to have it. It's the only one I've seen other than the internet.
