I don't care for it personally. Just doesn't look quite right to me.

Sunset Orange Metalic- 2001 Camaro SS
^ I agree there
It sounds like it would look too much like a cheezy sticker imo
You can always try it and if you don't like it just remove it
a hotwheels car comes to mind when i hear this, just sayin

i just want something different the car is pewter no chrome no other color what do you guys think about stripes or hockey stripe what would look good i like the old muscle car look with flames skulls anything mean.

The stripes over the hood and rear deck would be sharp. Flat black or gloss black, both would look good.
Does your car have tinted windows? I would do that and maybe just a pin stripe.

The good thing about vinyl, if you don't like it, rip it off... but it's expensive.
What I would do first, is go buy some masking tape and start taping the stripes where you want and step back and look. If you like it, take a picture and have someone make the stripes up for you in vinyl. A lot cheaper that way. As far as the flames and skulls go... IMO.. best left for tattoos, not vehicles. But that's just my opinion, I haven't seen one yet that looks good to me, maybe yours will.

There are lots of mods for the exterior on here. You could put in a notchback instead of the rear glass or get a different hood. Pinstripes, hockey sticks, rally stripes. How about halo headlights. Fill in the letters on the rear panel or swap the grill.
I think any of the above would probably make you happier than the vinyl.
Do a lot of research and good luck with whatever you decide.
And post some pics when you get the camera.

Wraps can be nice, but like it was stated, can cost as much as a good paint job. I have a buddy in Florida that does it, and to wrap my 99 suburban, it was going to cost $500 for the material, and a weekend to do it.
The only upside to it is when you get rid of the vehicle, you can just remove the vinyl, and your original paint is still there, and unharmed.

Very true. I love painted on stripes but can be costly.
Nothing beats a good quality ___ job either but sometimes the ole hand is all you have to work with.
+1
Saw a Corvette done in it once (C4) and the piece for the hood had to be HUGE and was expensive as hell!
