When I tried LS1 sounds, it didn't really help me much since it is all different equipment doing the recording, some good quality some not so much.

I think these cars sound like some old school muscle when they have a slowmaster on them. Especially with otherwise stock manifolds. But some say the Flowmaster, at least on our exhaust setup, doesn't flow as good as other mufflers.

Personally I really like my Hooker Aerochamber, it goes well with their headers/ORY I have. Pretty quiet at idle, no droaning at cruise, sounds damn mean when I get on it. I know this because I followed my car for a few miles and liked the sound it made much more after that, before I thought it was too quiet.

If you have the money buy a GMMG catback. Badass. Got it and love it.

I like the SLP TOTL. Maybe I'm old school. Had it on my '96SS. loved it ever since. Supple at idle and crusing. Wakes up after 3 grand.

Hated the SLP LM when I got my car. Horrible drone around 2000-2500 rpm, made it impossible to talk in the car. I have Magnaflow now and love it. Perfect balance of loud when you get on it without being obnoxious and quiet when idling. No drone at anytime. Hard to beat the performance/sound at that price.

My Z28 has flowmaster on it, its a really great sound and I get a lot of compliments on it. I know its not the best performing but it gets the job done for what I want it to.

Damn Flowmaster has the SOUND, eh? I just put some Super 44s on my old school '68 Le Mans ragtop, already getting compliments.

I have a Flowmaster Super 40 on my Z, and I like it. It's pretty loud and I have gotten several compliments on how my car sounds.

Good luck with whichever exhaust setup you choose.
