I looked at a 98 convertible SS last night.

It didn't have any stickers on the inside of the passenger door. The drivers side had like 3 or 4 sets. Nothing on the passenger side.

    clean carfax.

All SS's have an SLP stcker on the passenger side door. If it is missing then it is either a fake, a new or repainted door or someone just took the sticker off.
My ride is a 2002 Camaro SS SLP #3296 with 30k, LTH, 3" Y, CME, Frost tune, K&N, ported TB, Blackwing lid, Bellows, MSD, Denso Iridium, and 85mm MAF, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, SLP strut brace, Adj. Panhard, TA Girdle, UMI, Pro 5.0, Nitto NT555
My wife has a 2004 GTO with the rare SAP, 18" wheels, K&N Cold Air System, MSD, Ported TB, Frost tune, Denso Iridium, Flowmaster cat-back, 3200 Yank, 75k

Actually, you only got the passenger door sticker listing the extra cost SLP options if the car itself was equipped as such.

To know for sure you would have to look at the RPO codes on the driver door sticker and look for Y2Y. If you see that code, then you will have the passenger door sticker listing the additional SLP options like floor mats, car cover, SS grill etc etc....

While you are looking at the driver door sticker, look for RPO code WU8,,,that signifies that you are at least looking at a real SS,,,,just not necessarily equipped with extra cost add on options that would then have the passenger door sticker.

I did call SLP with the vin. They said it was infact a base model SS. Just had wheels, hood, spoiler, and badging. And of course the single tailpipe.

    thanks!

Sounds like a base model SS without the add on SLP options, so it wouldn't have the passenger door sticker.

Wouldn't hurt to check the RPO's for Y2Y though just to be sure.

I would order the birth certificate from SLP just to have proof that its a real car. Costs a few bucks but it is worth it when or if you have to sell your car.
