Cutout
I had a cutout put on my LS1 it actually has a a good sound to it. It also feels like the cars faster at higher rpms. I went with a manual one does anyone else have a manual one and what do you think of it?

had a manual one for a few months and got sick of having to jack the car up everytime just to open or close it. an electric one is well worth the money IMO

What else do you have done to the car? LT's? ORY? If not get them! . I have a manual cutout with LT's n ORY and magnaflow catback... I don't even know what it sounds like with the cutout closed... Haven't closed it since I got the LT's put on. But I will be getting a electric cutout here pretty soon. Have only put about 2500 miles on the LT's.

navy blue metallic- 2002 camaro ss
Your making more power for sure with the cut-out open. I pull my y-pipe off when I hit the track and pick up 3mph consistently with stock exhaust manifolds. Can't wait to get long tubes.

I've got a pair of manual and a pair of electric cutouts on 2 different cars.
When placed right after the header collectors they aren't all that bad to simply remove the wing nuts and pull the caps off. Takes me about 2 minutes. I've had them on this car for 15 years.
The other car also had a pair of manual cutouts for several years. I decided to treat myself and I got a set of electric cutouts from DMH and put on the car. I've had so much fun with that I can't believe I waited so long.
An absolute blast to scare the crap out of people with. Especially when people pull a stupid move, or pull out in front of you,,,I use them as a horn.
Pull up along side their door, hit the switch and wack the throttle hard,,,,they jump out of their skin
Instead of driving away pissed, I'm laughing my ass off. It's therapy for me
I scared one old man so bad, he actually pulled over and waved me by,,,that's how loud it is. A pair of 3 inch cutouts behind a 640 hp BBC,,,lol.

You just can't beat being able to just hit a switch to open/close one at will.
