CME Valence
From looking at different pictures of various camaros with CME, I noticed (or I think) that there are different valence panels. It seems that the DUAL tip has a valence that rolls under the car and the QUAD tip valence rolls out from under the car. Is this correct and or what is the difference?
Was the Dual or Quad tip an option and when were they in production by SLP?Last edited by 9t8z28; 12-12-2006 at 02:49 PM.

Yeah all the pics ive seen have different valences. I think only the dual was available from the factory but i could be mistaken. I think the 4 tips are after market from slp

Hey there are two different kinds of cme valances. only the dual tipped cme one was available from the factory but back in the day you could order both kinds. I have both quad tipped and dual tipped, the quad tipped valance is hideously ugly. at least thats what i think

the factory ordered CME came w/the one piece rear valance and dual CME exhaust tips.
the aftermarket SLP CME Quad tip had the side skirts (two piece rear valance) and the Quad CME tips. I love the look of the Quad tip set up and two piece rear valance. I had it on my old 95 Z28 before I sold it. I got a lot of compliments. It's good to be different. Seriously considering getting it for my SS...Last edited by SSwt00SS; 01-11-2007 at 08:24 AM.

That looks sweet! I didn't realize it was a 2 piece valence!

here's another one for you. I think the lines from the 2 piece rear valance flow great w/the body of the car (side view of car in previous post).

How does it attach to the bumper?

it comes with double sided heavy duty mounting tape and plastic tapers that you drill though the rear valance and rear bumper to attach it to the car. downside is that you really can't remove it once it's on.
I had a muffler shop weld the tips on first (while skirts were being painted), and then I mounted and installed the side skirts myself w/my dad spotting to make sure I kept them straight and even. It's tricky and takes sometime to do, but like I said I got tons of compliments. No one here in Dallas has this set up from f-bodies that I've seen. Only a friend of mine and myself had this setup in Kansas City.
