    CME Install

I am finally installing the CME I got, and its really going worse than I thought. Right now I just fitted the valence with two bolts on both sides and then one in the middle. The tape...well I just dont know about the tape. I am not really convinced its going to hold the valence up to the bumper for a good clean fit. Anyone have any suggestions as to what they did?

Give us more information and pics help!!!

Is your valence from Surfacemodz or is it a factory valence. I am positive you will get it to fit. Alot of guys on here have personally installed these ask away.

Pics would help. 3M tape is pretty strong so it should hold if you preped the area right.

yes you should start in the middle, and rip off the tape in sections, also dont forget the screws around the outer edge of the valence, then proceed with some clear silicone or if your car is black, black silicone, it souldnt be that hard,

X2.. Wash the area then use some rubbing alcohol to clean off any remaining residue. That should be good enough for the tape to adhere. I myself used the bolt in the center and the ones on the wheel wells with 3M tape.

    1) I had the bumper off to make the install easier, so the bumper was filthy, but the rest of the car clean.

    2) The valence has not been painted yet, so I wasnt putting it on for good in the picture. Just was getting the fit all right so when it does get painted, I wouldn't have to mess around with fitment issues, and I can just bolt it on, and stick it there. Hopefully.

Do you have a heat gun. Sometimes these valences get out shape and you will need to heat them up as you are fitting it.

I'm still waiting on a affordable valence and tip set to be marketed... And not those ugly tips, the stock looking one are what I want.
