Gen 1 Nova Front Clip With BBSST

Hotrods to Hell's new front suspension setup for '62-67 Novas features the company's exclusive Big Bar Soft Spring Technology (BBSST), a configuration meant to provide flat, precise cornering along with ultra-compliant bump absorption. This was achieved by separating the two distinctly different suspension events, jounce and roll. Rather than simply adding stiffer springs to make the car handle, Hotrods to Hell started with a clean sheet of paper, first optimizing the new system's roll center and camber gain. HTH then designed the clip's large-diameter, underslung swaybar assembly, which places the links out at the ball joint for maximum swaybar effectiveness, with the housing acting as a structural member for increased torsional rigidity. This setup permits the use of soft springs to deal with suspension jounce, while the big bar assembly deals with roll. Hotrods to Hell offers the clips in a variety of configurations: the Stage 3 big spring coilover setup shown here goes for $6,600 and includes Wilwood's new forged Prospindles and six-piston Superlite brakes, as well as Bilstein or QA1 shocks. The kits come fully assembled and powdercoated the color of your choice and include inner fender aprons, hinge mounts, snout bars, all hardware, and instructions.
