Nope, performance will be fine.. You'll need to have the rear 02,s tuned out to get rid of the light..

I don't see why adding a Y-pipe would cause your SES light to come on. It sounds like maybe you burnt an O2 wiring harness on the exhaust, causing it to not read properly.

If you still have cats, you shouldn't get a SES light from adding a Y-pipe. Check to make sure you connected the O2's properly and that the wiring is still in good shape.

I guess I asumed he removed the cats.. Curious... Could'nt adding a "Y" move the stock o2's down stream a little further possibly causing a SES code?

I guess that's a possibility, but I am not too sure. I would think that most, if not all, manufacturers would have the O2's in the same position to alleviate this problem.

When I installed my SLP LMII and SLP Y-pipe before I went to Kooks LTs and Kooks Y, I didn't trigger any SES codes.

You have 2 options here since you live in Indiana and state emissions does not do a visual, but only a plug into the OBDII:

    1) Get O2 simulators (I wouldn't recommend this route). I've heard they can mess up and not work properly
    2) Get your two rear O2 sensors tuned out by a hand-held tuner or DYNO shop (I recommend this).

Both options will clear your SES light.

Good options. However, down here in Indy we have no emissions check. Not even a plug in OBD check. The longer they delay doing that, the better chance of it not affecting any car I care about passing.

Wow. I thought emissions was a state regulated thing, but from what you are telling me it must not be. I'm in northwest, IN and we have the OBDII plug in for newer cars and manual inspection for older vehicles.

I believe it's more a regional thing. And since you're so close to Chi-town....
