Just read the description. He claims that GM was going to produce a Z06 camaro, but it fell through. I think hes trying to get a few extra $$. Discuss!!

Maybe a rumor but I read that a few T/A and camaro's came with a LS6. Lucky ones I think they where called

thats only in '01-'02 and it was only the LS6 block - which is nothing special -- not the LS6 heads or cam

Yeah, I just looked my old motor was a 1168 last 4 digits on the block. making it a LS6 block. But with a cold air kit and corsa cat back w a tune only put down 348 horses. So it couldn't have ben that special.

Car seems legit to me. The owner just isn't very knowledgeable, you can tell that by his descriptions.

the ls6 block thing is true, mine too has this block, and yeagh its not gonna make any extra power becasue of the design of the casting windows or the differnce in oil passages, which is cough cough bs, but yeagh a few camaros or birds actually got an ls6 cam as well but there is only one way to tell, but non with the 243 heads.

were did you hear about them getting LS6 cams

the ls6 engine itself has the ls6 cam and crank.
if the fbodies had ls6 blocks with ls6 intakes and ls6 cams and ls6 cranks, theyd basically have an ls6 engine... which they dont

they would be called the ls6 except for a couple key things such as the heads the oil pump and the tune.

and i am not sure but i was reading an article in hot rod how a few ls6 cams found there way into a f bodys,

i know this is less than a 100% source of info, but nontheless i have talked to someone high up in gm and they confimed this rumor and said yes it happened. so they say

but i belive them not saying anyone else has to, i guess we just have to wait for the day someone pulls out a stock cam and measures it and finds out the lift
