    Camaro Projector Headlights

    23 September 2007

Does anyone have any of those new projector headlights that came out for sale a few months ago? I'm not talking about the standard halo headlights, I mean the actual projector headlights. I've got the standard halo headlights on my Camaro, and I'm not really impressed with the scattered light effect they produce with my HID bulbs.

If you've got the projector headlights, please post pictures of them. Also, please let me know how the light output compares with standard halo headlights, or the factory headlights.

    Thanks!

ebay they were expensive. $240 but came with the front smoked turn singnal lenses. I love them and get compliments every where I go. I also put the rear bumper lenses in as well as the black aztecca lights for the rear. They all compliment eachother well.

I just got a new computer. Need to upload all my photo crap into it. as soon as I do I will post some pics. They look great and compliment the headlights and side markers rather well. + I can't stand the stock tail lights anyway.

A resounding "THANK YOU!!!" for putting up pictures of your projector headlights so promptly; I appreciate it, guys! The projectos look extraordinary - better than my standard halos and certainly better than the factory headlamps.

My question is: How do the projector headlights work in comparison with the standard halos and/or factory headlights? Do they put out an equal amount of light? Obviously they look spectacular, but do they perform as well as they look and, from that perspective, are they work the price of admission?

Thanks again for the pictures and for your prompt replies to the above question!

Mine perform really well. Better than the stockers. I still have a little adjusting to do. I hardly ever drive the car at night. It is a garage queen (with cover) and only comes out on nice weekends (hence the only 36,500 miles on the odometer).

Dude, thanks for your prompt reply to my post. I'm glad to hear that your projector headlights outshine the factory headlights. Are you running HID bulbs in your low beams or are you using the standard H3 bulbs that come with the set?

I've got 4300K HID bulbs in my high and low beams and 3000K HID bulbs in my fog lights. I've wired everything up so that I can run the low and high beams and the fog lights all at the same time. Still, the light scatters way too much (especially from the high beams) and I'm largely unimpressed with the results, especially when I consider the money I've invested in the superior bulbs. The fog lights certainly are a drastic improvement, however. They're now equivalent to my low beams in terms of intensity and output, but they're so close to the ground they can't shine as far past the front of my car like the low beams should and do.

No, mine don't have the LEDs lining the side of the headlights, didn't notice that at first.
