You failed to mention if you'ld be driving in snow. I see you're from Mass., which means snow in the winter. Camaros don't do well in snow, the Maxima is front wheel drive, and is better in snow. So, as for a practical DD, that's something you'll have to think about.

Just do what I did. Get both.

This is my 03 SE m6 and damn is it fun to hit. The thing is so smooth on the highway. Total touring car. 120 from my house to boston (about two hours) and I felt like I was just gliding up the highway.

And my 99 Z28 m6. Ask any of my coworkers how hard this thing pulls.

Buy the camaro, and find a cheap truck for the winter months. Exactly what I did. I had a TB ss that I was leasing and bought my camaro. Turned the the TB and bought an 02 2500hd pickup for cheap! I couldn't be happier. Stay away from imports, they may be decent on gas, but if something breaks (which it will) you will be looking at loads of cash and loads of time. My brother drove a Suburu WRX..... long story short, waste of money.

    Its all in the driver.

If you are doing alot of city driving I would buy an auto.

I have an M6 not a DD and drove down to Madison and back and got 26.5mpg. That is better than the GTP or my truck would of got.

if you like to get whiplash from the car gripping and taking off buy a 4th gen Z28 or SS. And to answer your question if it can beat mustangs, a 2007 mustang gt runs high 13s in the 1/4 well a 98-02 z28 or ss runs low 13s and theres even a guy who ran a 12.69 on a all stock camaro 02 ss. So say there half the price of the mustangs and 5 years older and still kick the shit out of them

only bad thing bout drivin a Z as a dd is that some people out there try and race you and if your like me you just shake your head and ignore them bc you know you can blast their doors off goin backwards lol the other is people tend to not see us bc how low to the ground we are so sometimes it makes drivin a lil sporty lol

depends, at the track if you stall an A4 it will out run the M6, also A4's are more consistant than the M6's, if your going to be driving it on the street, nothing beats the fun of an M6

It all comes down to preference.

A Maxima is a much Better car at doing things like groceries, kids, daily grind sort of thing.

A Z28 or SS is a much Faster car and no sunroof will ever equal the T-tops on a nice day.

Gas mileage is likely to be a wash unless you can't stay out of the LS1

Take both for a good test drive because you're the one who will have to live with it.

I will probably get flamed, but if I could only have one, I would likely take the Maxima.

But that's why I have multiple cars, no such cruel decisions necessary

I think I will go with the Camaro because I have wanted one since I was a kid and I like fast cars. And I forgot that I can use my girlfriends 2003 accord when it snows.

P.S Thanks for all the help guys

come by and show us pics when you find one. I owned a 95 Z28 A4 a couple years ago and I have NEVER regretted selling a car so badly. Now I have my 99 Z28 M6 and will NEVER get rid of it. Its amazing how fun they are to drive. Plus I have a truck for the winter.

the manual doesnt have a huge speed difference over the automatic, but If you can drive it right, the mileage is a good bit higher.

and def go with the V8, my V6 gets as bad of mileage as anything else and not nearly as fun. Ive been driving nice for the most part, got 21.5 last tank
