Yes the departments will buy them we had 4 of them (2002) but they were plain white in color. The idea is to be stealth and to quickly catch the speeders. The Crown Vics are very durable with decent handling but they are slow.

that's what makes me mad sometimes, its obvious that my town generates a lot of revenue from speeding tickets because they don't make much on taxes. that's a whole nother story though.

The problem is that's all they do, there speed limits around town are rediculous, its speed traps everywhere, and all they do is sit and watch theses. the motorcycle cop just sits in the center median at the main intersection and looks at stickers. For the first year that i lived here I literally saw 2 people stopped everytime i came or went.

The problem with this is real crime. its a small town and there's some serious shit going down all the time cuz all the cops are posted up with their radar guns.

There's no money in stopping crime, but there is in traffic tickets

Those early ones are definitely awesome, I could watch them again and again!
