Buddy just picked up a 99 SS today, pics inside

The same buddy of mine that I've mentioned that had a 2000 NBM Z28 with a cam/stall/nitrous/12 bolt, recently picked up a 99 SS a few hours ago. I met him at his house, as he came over here so I could snap some pictures of it. Same NBM and tan leather as his previous car, just a year older and the SS 6 speed this time around. Has a TSP .595/.598 cam (or reverse? lol), PRC 2.5 heads (5.3L), a BUNCH of suspension upgrades, and a TA girdle for the weak and nimble 10 bolt. Car has 45 or 46k miles on it, came with all the paperwork from SLP, and its CLEAN! I'm jealous

Here's the video. He's talking about wanting to swap the exhaust between my white Z and his. This one has some skinny Borla muffler on it (possibly XR-1?), and the Z has the Loudmouth.

It's got the factory Hurst, just a different handle/ball, and we agreed to either swap, or cut the tips if he keeps the exhaust on there

cut them tips off jeebuz who the hell installed them like that they should be slapped for that. other than that great pik up for your buddy. jus my .02 i think camaros look way cleaner with out any tips UNLESS it has the center mount exhause valence.

That's why I like the mufflex system, still over the axle, yet tucked up in the quarter with a turndown. Can't be seen from the back of the car. Stealthy.

Nice to see there are still some of these floating around. The little things like the wheels and the exhaust are easy fixes and a way to personalize.

He un-bolted the C-clamps yesterday and tried yanking them off but they wouldn't budge, so he took a sawzall and cut 'em off

I'm not one for the wheels either, I told him to ride around on my C6s or maybe swap me out for the TTIIs that are on my white Z, but he hasn't decided if he likes them or not. Said maybe they'll grow on him

Are the mirrors body color or black? I thought for a few years they only came black (98-99) but I could be wrong.

Nice looking car, exhaust looks like it needs some attention but sharp car.

Mirrors are black, I know some years were body color matched, but can't remember what years. I know 99 and 200 they were not

My 2000 has body color mirros.

I thought it was 98 and 99 that had black and 2000-2002 had body color mirrors.
