borla vs slp
Has anyone tried a Borla XR-1 Muffler? How would it compare to the loudmouth 1 resonator, which i'm running now?

I'm about to switch to a LM 2 from a LM 1 so I'm curious as well. My LM 1 was fine until I removed my cats, now it's way too raspy.

to tell ya the truth, my buddy had borla on his 96 z28 with LT's and no cats. i hated the sound, wayy too loud. i like somewhat quieter but deep, like true duals. i hate LM too

if you switch to the borla, its called a borla mouth, you can hear all the different cars with it on ls1sounds.com

I've had LM1 on my car for a while - got tired of the extremely loud interior resonance it produced. Just switched to a dynomax bullet muffler. Got rid of the annoying resonance, but still loud out the back.

I've listened to the sounds on LS 1 sounds in the past, they all sound terrible because of the equipment, cameras.

I am running the LM2 with LT's and IMO, the interior sound is not bad at all. It does resonate a bit but from what I hear, not as much as the LM1.

I have a LM1 too, if I wanted to put the borla on, does the resonator come out or do you just add the muffler?

i have the borla system with the 3rd plate installed, about 85% of exhaust comes out the right tail pipe. i also have no cats and pace setter headers when in low RPMS its super quiet but soon as u hit it, it sounds liek staright pipes now it does get raspy but also the tailpipe tips are square so that gives it a different sound too. i love it but everyone has there own taste

I like both Borla and Loud Mouth. I went with Loud Mouth 2 though. And there are differences in the tone from what an SS would sound like compaired to a TA. Camaros are alittle restrictive sound wise. But they always sound badass so whatever. My pick was going to be between either LM, Borla, or GMMG. I think them three sound the best.
