Blacking Out My NEW Black Camaro
I'm trying to find a black billet grille, but it currently has the bowtie grille, blacked out.
i have the windows tinted 20% all the way around.
interior was redone by previous owner.
black carpet and black leather interior (way better quality than stock, but idk where they got it done)
should i get the blackouts for the red side markers on the rear of thecar?
if so where can i get them?
i'm going to try to put my power anenna from my formy on it, to get it a really sleek look.
i detailed it yesterday, clay, wax, buff, etc.
will post some pics whe I get it all done.
obtw it's a 2002 Z28, stock cept for SLP lid.
plan on leaving it stock for now. I want to make it into a show car

Ahhhhh...you're a man after my own heart. Don't forget the little emblem on the front that's red white and blue. You can get a faux carbon fiber one like mine that looks great! I had a billet grill on mine that came with it, I was going to paint it black, but when I too it off to do it, I just said screw it, I'm going to buy a SLP grill instead, I think they look much better and way more up to date, plus they have a real gloss finish to them. They are kinda pricey though. I assume that's the one you already have. My windows are limo tint.
I also have the rear black out covesr for the tail lights, you can never have too much black!
Can't wait to see your pics!

yeah it's the SLP bowtie grille, it's really glossy! i may just stick with it, since they're so expensive anyway.
yeah i have the cf emblem, it looks great.
I've only had her for about 3days, but i love her!
the previous owner really babied here... he was an older guy.
she just neededto be cleaned up.
I even stripped the little white logo off of my headlight and tailight covers so it's all blacked out.
i think i may enter it into cotm soon.
i very well stand a chance!
sould i go with an SS hood or leave it as it? i think an SS hood might make it look too gawdy.

really?
i mean ithink they look horrible on a colored car.
but i thought they looked pretty good on mine...
i just put them on last night.
i have noticed some of them stick out and look tacky, but these are flush and smooth wth the body

One of the best all time Marvel Villians. Car can never be black enough, I love the look you're going with. Can't wait to see some updated pics. Where did you find the flush tail light covers. I feel the same way, if they're not flush they do look cheap. My .02 on he headlight covers are the lack of visibility at night. I've seen Halo style headlights and mods done that include painting the inside of the headlights that give it the same dark look without compromising your visibility at night.

GTS made my turn light covers too, my tail light covers are the same as yours, they hug tight, and look great. The headlight covers DO make night driving a challenge to say the least. Funny thing...opinions are like assholes...everyone has one...and they all stink! LOL

I've got a black Z and I just took the plastic grille out and left it at that. It looks much better if you trim away the Styrofoam material away from the openings though.
Does anybody know of a company that make prefabricated ducting to make these openings into a ram air setup?

There are black billet grilles out there. SLP might look better though. Use VHT on those side markers you were talking about. I did mine and they turned out very, very well. It's easy too, just takes a little time. I need to put some more clear on my tails and get them shinier. No pics yet sorry.

i always like a black car. my last one was blacked out, but ill say if you plan to actually use it as a show car, you wont get much attention. on the road people will stop and stare, but at shows its the custom paint that gets all of the attention. a good look tho is to have the engine pay all polished and chromed and the outside all blacked out. i wouldnt use covers, id use the VHT, its much smoother and doesnt hinder light output as much.
oh and for headlights, id say do the whistler mod rather than covers. its a cleaner look.

I like that blackout mod for the headlights, I might consider buying those ones from that link. That looks much better than halo's in my opinion, if you change headlights too much it looks weird I think.
Anybody have a pic of the rksport nose badge on their car? I am interested in that, just curious what it looks like on a black card - is it ricer at all?? I kind of want the all black look myself. I want to do the red hash marks though... I always have liked em..
