    Best Investement

    hey guys i'm 16 and a huge car guy...i work for my dad as a mechanic and after driving a 98 WS6 we were working on i'm obssesed. i have a 65 GTO going together but thats at least a year away...so i was wondering...i would love to buy a 93 or newer F body as my daily driver....what can i excpect for 7k or less...any advice would be great. thanks

    yeah theres 93-97 lt1 fbodys all over the place for under 7k.....some with no winters/fairly low miles......not going to find many ls1s in that range that arnt beat to hell with lots of miles though

    take my advice and save another 4 k up and just get a 98 + SS

    yea i'd much rather have a 98-up...any advice on the better models or certain things to look for or stray away from?

    all 98-02 are pretty much the same and equally good. Any model Z28, SS, T/A, formula, WS6 would be a fine choice. The 01-02 have a better intake manifold. But you probably wont be able to afford an 01-02. And thats an easy upgreade you can do later. The main thing to worry about on these cars is the rear end. It basically the only rear weak point.

    get a M6 ( 6 speed) ask if the clutch has been replaced, test drive it if the cluch is in great working order, there's a good chance it wasn't beat

    also never buy a car with major engine / performance modifications this gives a higher probablity of the car being tired/ beat on a lot

    i wouldnt have anything but an M6 and yea i'm lookin for a real clean black on black mostly stock...something i can slwoly build up myself
