    Bang Noise

Everytime i go over a bumpy road im getting a bang noise which sounds like if something was beating on the floor pans (metal on metal kinda sound)
its def coming from the rear and its alot louder on the passenger rear but it does come from the left rear when going over a bump on that side
stock exhaust is tight, ive checked and tightened the jack/spare tire assembly
it doesnt sound like a bad shock (ive been a mech since 15 and it really doesnt sound like that)
are there any other common problems i should check? it ALMOST sounds as if the rear hatch is banging around but its down tight and doesnt move at all when pushing up and down on it.
    thanks alot guys!

mods are only an SLP Lid, K&N and a 1LE 32mm Hollow Front Sway

I have no idea, i was pulling out of a parking lot onto the highway the other day and my car made a god awful noise, like i bottomed out hard, but there was nothing to hit. everythings looks good underneath, whatever.

now that i mention bottoming out, since its a bumpy road, youre rear axle is gonna be all over the place, it could be the rear axle coming up and hitting the bump stops. mine are pretty much not existant, so when it hits, its pretty bad

    to be 100% honest
i went on some roads and made it do it
the more and more i hit it is sounds like if you take a spring pull it and let i hit against metal
im betting its a spring insulator (the cup the spring mounts it)
    sound like a good guess?

    Sadly now demodded :(

Check out the torque arm bushing or tranny mount bushing. They both make that kind of sound when they break.

def coming from the rear though
not from the tranny area (that would sound more like its besides me right?)
i even pulled the rear spoiler off to see if it was that banging around, sadly it still remains

As odd as it sounds, I found recently that on my WS6, with 3inch cat back, that the tail pipe on the passager side was/is hitting the spare tire well. I get a thud on that side of the car once in a while. See if that is hitting, you will ahve to look pretty close to see it.

well as today was finally nice out i jacked the car up and went to town with my rubber mallet
turns out the panhard bar/track bar would shift slightly when hit and make a very annoying yet so familiar sound

well got my impact out and sure enough after a test drive the problem has gone away

the bolt for the track bar on the pass side must of after 105k worked itself lose (checked the bushing it was solid)
