so wait, let me get this straight. you have a camaro with ttops. and when you park your car. youre going to get into your trunk, and pull this gay looking piece of carpet out an put it on your car? why in the world would you not just put the ttops back in??? they only take 2 seconds to do...

this is more for cars like vipers and such that dont store the targa in the vehicle. do you have subs or something that prevent you from keeping your tops with you? if not, ugly waste of money in my opinion.

Yeah, the look is not appealling. You'd be better off putting them in the back seat, if you do have a speaker box, & overlay with a towel. Putting the t-tops back on mine doesn't take that long at all, even the car cover doesn't take that long to roll over. It's not a security device.........

My uncle used to have a different version for his Corvette (one you could drive with) and I saw both of them in the Eckler's catalog. The other style is over $300, and they don't make it for the Camaro, so I went with this one.
I guess I will post my own feedback later as to how it works.
Just seems Quicker and Lighter to me .... always a good combination.
it makes perfect sense on a targa car. i really dont see the point if you have to open your trunk to get it anyhow. seems to me like youre going through the same exact steps. in fact, if it does rain, or you want to drive with the tops on, you just created an extra step for yourself by putting that thing away and putting on the tops....

Thanks for letting me know about a product that I didn't know was out there.

But I don't understand the advantage of having it. Can you explain to me?

I can understand not wanting to deal with the T-tops. I never pull ours out just for that reason,,,,don't want to deal with the hassle of hauling them around, putting them in and out every time I park the car is a bit much,,,,plus I need the space for groceries and other things anyway.

Which is why we also bought a convertable. Flip of a switch and your done. Kinda sounds like you needed a convertable too

Running short trips is where it's a pain for us,,,stopping 4-5 times and having to lock the car up gets a little repetative. So they generally just don't come out at all.

If I want wind on my head it's much easier for us to drive the vert and flip a switch

Actually we both had verts until my wifes was totalled,,,,I couldn't find a suitable replacement vert so I had to settle getting her a T-top car,,,otherwise I wouldn't have even owned one. We never really liked T-tops to begin with. It's either a vert or a solid roof car for us.

Now you just need one to cover your windows, that way you don't have to "waste time" pushing the button to roll them up. I'm sorry, dumbest thing I've seen on an fbody

So you're putting this ugly rug in the same category as neons and hideous spoilers... I would agree with you

its not personal, just honest opinions. i have always said people can do what they want, its all personal preference. but dont expect to put something up for everyone to see and only hear from people who like it.
