    Almost Cried

So I've had Mephisto for about 3 months now.
I payed a really good price for her, and she has almost every option a Z can have....

    but today.....

    I found a 2002 35th anniversary SS(yes a real one, red with the stripes)
    30k miles...perfect, unscathed by mods....

most beautiful camaro I have ever seen.....

they were asking 13k for the car...

I would never sell mephisto, but I came really close....

mephisto has a few more miles than that, but is the same year, and has a good amount of mods....

    What should I do guys.....

Dang, that's cheaper than what I paid for my '00 Z28 a couple years ago! That's a tough call. My perspective is that if you get a 35th SS that it should remain numbers matching. If you want to mod a car and customize it, just get a regular SS or better, a Z28 (which is what I did obviously) which is not as collectable. For that price though it would be hard to pass it up and won't last long, especially right now with warm weather on the way.

Miles is really what would kill collectability...

Yes there are ppl that are all about being original and whatnot, but mot ppl that want a rare car 40 years after it was build dont care if it has some suspension work and headers... but its worth alot more if it has like 50k on the odo... not like 200k...

I had a built 66 mustang, and when I sold it the guy tried to get me to lower my price because it wasn't original....

    I just coudn't believe it was so cheap, for 30k miles.....and a 35th....

    2002 Berger Camaro SS #86

buy it and drive the shit out of it... screw collectability and all that. these cars were rolled off production to be driven, not stored. my berger is gonna be a daily driver for my first year or so out of college until I have money for a DD, and I plan on making a few mods to her (minor as they will be). just do mods that can be reverted for resale, keep original parts to put back on later. unless you really think your going to hold on to it for twenty more years and resell it for some big profit or something. and like predator said, miles are what kills value for "collector cars", and you already have a daily driver. I would go ahead and buy a camaro that stands out from others on the road, and just keep a watchful eye on the mileage. I can remember paying 11k for a 98 Z28 w/50k miles about 5 years ago, and that was a decent deal then, so you look to be getting a steal. I can't imagine it will last long at that price either....

    It has a big wing!

They are gorgeous cars! (the 35th's).

A guy I know has TWO (yes two) of them. One for car shows and the other to make into a track car/DD.

That is a bit low in the price....Inspect that car REAL close man.Look for any signs of wrecks, floods, dead bodies....you know, the usual stuff.

    Good luck!

I know, but the market on them isn't extremely high around here...

I mean I've seen them go for around 16k

but it's still really cheap even for here

i want to find you.... and strangle you... if i had your car (which i would be making a serious payment on it if i did have it) there is no way i would daily it... and if i got it given to me I would have definately taken $200 a month and buy a daily...

No hard feelings, but damn dude a Berger SS... park that shit and take it put like 3000 miles a year on it at most...

Hell go buy a black z28 and clone your car... no on will give you shit about it... if they do just tell them to come back to your place and youll show them something special...
