I think he meant to ask "limited slip"

The type of differential was an option, but I think they were alll limited slip differentials, regardless of which one the car had.

    limited slip

I also am pretty sure they all had limited slip. All the literature I read indicated the zexyl torsen differential was standard. I also have never done a one wheel peel.

99' is when the Torsen became standard. 93-98 was LSD with 96-97 SS' having the Torsen

Make up your mind. Which is it?

For 2000 at least, and I think '01 and '02 were the same, base SS's had the Torsen version, and the Auburn differential was an SLP option. Mine has the Auburn, and it's listed right on the SLP options door sticker.

They used to call it POSI-TRACTION rear end. Ford called their's LIMITED SLIP. Chrysler called their's SURE-GRIP .

O.K. once again, I will repeat myself.

    93-98 were Auburns
    99-02 were Torsens
    96-97SS's were Torsens

No need to get snippy. This was your reply to my post, which said that Auburns were an option from SLP. That is fact, and your reply implies that Auburns were used on all of them since 93. 2 posts before that you say SLP gave them the Torsen starting in '99. Contradictory info. All I said was that SS's at least from '00 forward (actually '99) could have had either, Torsen standard, Auburn optional.
