    After much debate

I had so much bad luck trying to buy a corvette I've decided I am going to by a 1998 jeep wrangler for 4995. what i havent decided is should i fork my camaro over to lenginfelter to get the 427 put in... also getting a rebuilt tranny and rear end for my camaro no matter what so why not fork over 20 thousand to get a holy shit car and not just an overbuilt car??? what are your thoughts

i agree if you are going to buy a jeep the only good reason to do sow is that you want to go off road and even then you will want to modify it.

ive thought about getting a jeep/tacoma before i got my camaro so i can load it up with friends and other stuff and go down to the beach on road trips and off roading ofcours but i think doing the ligenfelter thing might not be the smartest idea unless you can get it insured or somthing?
i dont really know thats jsut my 0.02

i am pretty sure that lingerfelter ins a good reputable place to modify your ride but they are very expensive.

vettes are winter vehicles too haha. Just get some Blizzaks, put a spare tire and a few bags of cat litter and the trunk and you'll fly up them snowy hills! works for me in the camaro, i sure vettes follow suit haha

You sure that Jeep isn't going to be a money pit?

I thought I mentioned to ya about a 4x4 in another post. Glad to see you changing your thoughts about having a winter vehicle.

I luv my loaded 03 Avalanche, moonroof, leather, heated seats, z71, 69k miles and pretty clean. Paid 13k (high 30s, 40k plus new), now I know you were thinking of dropping over 20k for your vette. I say look at a Avalanche or something and put some money towards making the Camaro quicker. Not going to be 20k engine money but you dont want to dump too much into it and make it over priced. You can tow your Camaro with a full size pickup or Avalanche. Even if gas skyrockets again, I don't see my Avalanche value dropping much and 4 years from now it will still be worth 8k and running strong .

i don't believe so, I actually traded my 2007 Colorado z71 15k mile for the 2003 Avalanche. Some may think Im crazy cause mileage differences but I always wanted an Avalanche and the options and the towing power. The Colorado wasnt bad but I wasnt too impressed as I didnt keep it.

You should really look at full size pickups if your going to tow. My Avalanche computer shows 15.1mpg average, my father in law tows his heavy bobcat with his truck and averages 11mpg when towing. Not good but that weights more than a car. If you dont get extended cab you can find some good deals on pickups.
