    besides the obvious answers like "dont do it" and "you'll regret it" can anyone give me some advice what to look for, what types of things it generally will take to get it road worthy again etc. I know the risk of buying a broke down car Im just looking for a project and I want to get some tips from people who have been there done that. thanks amigos

    Well I would say do a fluid flush in everything, and when I say flush fill something, maybe run it for a short time, then empty again.

    I take my jeep off road from time to time and whenever you hit any serious water everybody recommends you flush out the majority of your components. Water can creep into anything it wants to. Goodluck with your project, I'm sure more people will give you some tips.

    There are just too many hidden things that can go wrong later on down the line, even if you think it's been fixed.

    unless you're getting it for dirt cheap. i wouldn't do it.. and dirt cheap = < $2k-$3k

    i would expect all those electronics would be a complete pain in the ass.
    not tryin to scare u away from it. if it works, thats awesome and i would love to hear about it and the difficulty level
