98 Z-28 - Idea of Price to Sell

I have a 98 Z-28, Mystic Teal Metallic, cloth seats, 200K miles, good rubber, paint. Driver seat has small frays around stitching, but overall good condition. Any ideas about what kind of price here in the Dallas/FW area?

Maybe 4 or 5 k depending on how nice the exterior and interior of the car are

it will be hard to get much with those kind of miles

Since this is a thread gauging price and not really a for sale thread, I moved it.

alot of it depends on where you live but if the prices are similar in DFW as they are here in OK then 4-5 is where i would start off as a asking price butyou will probably only get the bottom end of 4k

I honestly wouldn't pay over $2500 for it. I got my '98 Z28 for $6000 with 80,000 miles on it.

That price is pretty damn good too. You've got LS6 intake, 3 years newer, and an SS for better resale value. Not to mention the other goodies that come with the SS.

Oh, and I found mine on craigslist. Lots of great deals to be found on that site.

I did a kbb for my area, austin/ft.hood/waco, and not knowing what options it had I selected cd player, power windows and locks, t-tops, and power seat with a stick came out to $3,735 in good condition. These cars no matter how many miles never seem to value under $3,000 but some people won't pay that much

    Mystic Teal Metallic
    1998 Z-28, 2010 SS

The whole reason behind this post is that a Used Car Mgr at a local Chevy Dealership told me I should sell for no less than 6-9K. He said they can't keep the F-bodies on the lot. I found that to be kind of skeptical to say the least. He also made the claim that the Z-28s and Sss were selling for 10K, regardless of miles.

Preferrably, I would like to keep the Z, it has been a great car and still is. Mechanically there is nothing wrong with the car, it runs like a bat out of hell still today. Engine is tight, handling is good, doesn't use oil. Just a good car. Has been my daily driver for 12 years.

If it still runs good I would.keep it I would pay $3 to maybe $3500 if I really liked the car. Problem is even with my 98 TA it is in new condition and plenty of bolt ons, suspension, and 18"American Racing Killers in chrome with 85k and I would be lucky to get 10k and I have almost that much in parts. These cars dropped a lot when.the economy dived.
That used car manager is.a.idiot. I've looked.at several used z28's at lots with between 87 and 100k and they ranged between 6 and 8k depending on option list and overall condition. So saying $10k regardless of mileage is ridiculous, all cars are based on mileage and condition.

This is a '99, hardtop, auto (fresh rebuild), with 165k on it, lid, slp y and loudmouth, paid a grand for it a few weeks back.

Needs a power steering pump, windshield, steering wheel, and the common BCM fix, and she'll be up for sale for $3500. This is what is common around my area, the LS1s don't seem to be bringing much
