Thank you very much sirs. Hmmmmmm mine has a metal tank............. I guess the plastic is lighter and doesnt corrode.

Funny thing about the 98 is the gas cap is different then the 99-2002 as well. I had to get a locking cap for a 99 and file the tabs off to make it work on my 98. Took a few trips to napa to figure this out.

Also helps during temperature/humidity changes. Metal tanks tend to "sweat" alot, where you won't have that big of a problem with the plastic tanks. I learned this when I found out this money-pit I call a boat, has a plastic tank, instead of a metal tank, so no need to drain the gas out. Only some Sta-Bil, and good-to-go

I joke around that mine is a money pit. The most money I've dumped into mine is in gasoline. Because mine is a MasterCraft I didn't buy junk

'98 190... here's a picture of it the day I picked it up from the dealer down in Chesapeake. Have ALOT more but not trying to hi-jack a thread too bad. And yes, I've got one subwoofer missing, needed to be replaced when I bought it, and still does But that's peanuts when I'm out on the water
