95 Slow-maro hellllppppppppppp!!!!
Alright. Ive got a bud who has a 95 3.4 5 speed maro.. hes been pissed ever since i have showed him the mighty power of the ls-1.... hes still in HS and I want to help him out as much as possible.. do you guys know of any cheap HP gains?? I planned on helping him with plugs/wires/air intake. Got any advice for exhaust?
and no.. upgrading to an ls-1 isnt an option.. hah..
Anything helps tho! Thanks!!!!!

lol.. can he not get an lt1?? that would be a huge upgrade.. maybe not an ls1.. but damn close.. you can pick em up for under 3 in pretty good shape..
honestly.. i would put nitrous on it... spray like a 75 shot or something.. would be the cheapest way to gain the most power.. i gues you could put a cam in it.. haha.. and if it blows up.. he at least has a good excuse to buy an lt1/ls1...
gears wouldnt be a bad idea either..

Its been said a million times before. Drive the v6-save your money-buy V8-mod away!
Dont waste money on the V6-Just my opinion.

It's tax season If he works he'll get that and save more. You can get a nice lt-1 for 3-5k well atleast around here.

See there you go...there's deals out there, even though you never recoup what you put into cars you will slightly more with a v8 than v6, atleast in my experience

Honestly, the biggest performance upgrade you could ever do to your car is to sell it and buy an LT1 or LS1 Z28. The price difference is worth the extra power and potential for a whole lot more.

LT1 would absolutely murder the 3.4
If he is serious about having any power at all he would have to settle for atleast an LT1 and he would be suprised.

there is really nothing he can do for cheap
n20=$1,000 to $1,500 for system and tune
intake,exhaust,tune=$1,000-$1,500
wouldnt even mess with cam
honestly the n20 would be the biggest bang for buck

Once again.. the ls-1 and the lt-1 arent an option for him at the moment.. after he graduates HS hes got a few years at technical school for computer crap. I went straight out into the workforce...and im working my way up.. so i got to buy a trans am... and hes real pissed but I keep trying to persuade him to not go the the dark ricer side..
Intake, exhaust, plugs/wires/coil and some porting are a go though... i got most of the crap out in my shop..
here is pics of his ride

not a bad looking car...
I think with exhaust and headers, he'd be more than happy for the time being

Does anyone had a picture of those headlight covers that make the front end look like the 98-02 maros? I lost mine and im still looking for where to buy them. I think GTS makes them... need to go to their site. The interior is really clean.. Just has a cracked dash but thats cake to fix.. And I have to wetsand the front end due to some of that wierd orange peel crap.

Sounds like a carbed 350 swap might be the ticket if he can or knows someone that can put it in cheap.
