5th gen Camaro?

So, a female friend of mine comes into work this morning, all excited because she saw "THE.....NEW!....CAMARO!!!!" Seriously, that's pretty much how she said it. She is a huge Camaro fan, and has owned a few. Now, I thought the 5th gens weren't coming out until late '09? Am I wrong? Or am I right in thinking that what she probably saw was the new Challenger?

She might have seen a Challenger (the 1st 6400 are all spoken for and delivery started earlier this month) although there are a few demo model Camaros floating around here and there. The mid-year models should be available for ordering in Dec 08 with shipments arriving around Apr 09.

It's possible you saw a demo model, but usually they stick around the detroit area. Mass production starts Feb. 19th, 09. So it's safe to say the public has yet to have one.

Wrong, the SRT8 Challengers have been out for months and now the v6 and base hemis are driving around also. they are everywhere!

i was told by the main guy in one of our local chevy dealerships that they were going to start taking reservations for the new camaro on december for jan/ feb delivery

last night actually, i saw on a local chevy dealer's neon light up sign, it said, "order your 2010 camaro now". i had to take a 2nd look and sure enough. i was holy shit, badass.

Look for the new Camaro to start showing up at dealers late in the first quarter of next year.

That would be sometime in March.

The ones out there now are the pre-production testers.

that V6 challenger makes me sick

and Camaro5.com reported that GM Presentation said that ordering will begin October 13.
