man, I poor hahaha I've got an SS and I'm still in college. I never knew I'd be able to afford an SS so soon! I think God knew how much I wanted it and he put a lot of people in my path to make it work. My car costed me $18,000 and I had about $8700 cash ready and got a loan for the rest. There was a rookie at the bank and my loan was supposed to be for the full amount(scammin I know) but it was for only like $9,500 and that's why my payments are SO LOW!!! I love having my car! If I did gears I'd probably switch them in and out, just depends if I can find out how. If I can I'll do 4.10s from like May to September and 3.42s for the rest.

I Dont Know About Stress, But I Do Know You Need A Set Of Nittos 555r Extreme Drag Radials, They Work Great, I Was Really Surprized, I Recommend Them Highly 315-35r-17 On 17x10 Rolled Lip Wheel

From wut iv been told 4.10's are a ticking time bomb with the stock 10 bolt. I dont know how people blow there rear's. I can understand with 420+rwhp. Some kid down the street from me did with just bolt ons. Iv got 4.10's and im still on the stock 10 bolt.

hey man im proud of you as a responsible 22 yr old youg man, owning his own SS camaro. as far as the gears go, once you have them installed, your not gonna want to go back in the rear end, youll love the 4.10 , and if you dont know how to change ring and pinion, you better leave that alone, it takes alot of know how to do one right. use gm gear, they are the quietiest abby

    Some cams will do it.
2001 or 2002 would be my guess if they are still on the stock heads.

4.10s ticking time bomb? I know the housing can only take so much but with higher ratios won't it transfer more torque to the wheels causing less stress on the entire assembly leading to a longer life span? anyone here an expert on the subject? if there is can you post a step by step?
