1/4times don't reflect just the cam options. Lets just say its a good cam that can get you too 400ishwhp on a dynoject and into the 11s with a full weight car+supporting mods.

224 or 228 cams are great cams for LS1s. If I ever cam mine, thats what will be going in it.

I'm good with that. When I first got the car my goal was to run in the 11's with a full weight car. Got my 11's and I run it just like I drive it around town. No back seats pulled and things like that. With the 228R it's streetable enough that my wife can drive it when she feels like it. Not to mention it makes good power under 6500 and makes good torque for street use. If I were chasing time slips I'd go bigger and there are times I wish I would've went with the 233/239 cam but for the most part this cam did exactly what I needed it to do.

    Back on topic.....fuck....

Pretty sure there are a few cars that are still on the stock heads, stock cubes, and N/A going 10's with that cam.
All in the set-up......not the RWHP.

I have one, 232"/234" .598"/.598", Doesnt like to run under 2k rpm. 3rd gear in a 30mph, even with 4.10 gears, its kinda iffy.

    Pulls like a motherfu@#er from 3k-6800.
    lopey idle.

what are your other mods? No reason that cam shouldn't drive pretty decent. I'd say you either have a mechanical issue or a tuning issue.
