2010 camaro racing at the Rolex 24 in Daytona

..This saturday there will be a 2010 camaro or possibly more racing at the Rolex 24 hour race..while highly modified it should give a good insight into the performance of these new vehicles..watch no# 57.....30th january 2010 around 3 pm start for 24 hours..

I watched the GS Daytona 24hr preview on SPEED today, those Camaros look good. I'm going to be watching all day on the 30th. And I usually make it to VIR for the April DP/GS 4hr race can't wait to see them in person.

I watched that show too. Pretty good watch. Seeing some of those garages and how clean and neat they are is amazing. It would be cool to see how they built those camaro's.

..would like to see GM do good..some of the vettes should do good...now if they were to prepare a camaro with an LS7..that would be a nice surprise...as in new Z28..go chevy go.....

..well..all in all considering the weather conditions I think the camaros fared well #57 ..blew 5th gear but came back strong..to finish 4th overall..#97 car had a good showing too...finishing 10th overall in the GT class...they will be back...this is only the starting point..and many improvements will benefit the street cars from the trial and tribulations of the the Rolex24...

Wow that was good. I watched a little bit on Saturday and they seemed a little loose in the turns at least compared to the Porsches. I missed all of today

They did look like big boats, but they handled well. #97 got together with a 911, they didn't have footage of it. But that made for a long repair. Too bad someone doesn't try to race a Lotus Elise, they make everything else look like big boats.

i wish they were smaller cars thats the only problem which leads to more problems with the new camaro

what problems have been caused by the maros weighing 500-700 pounds heavier than ours ?

require wider tires, better brakes and more power to do the same thing ours do.

that's why I'm a fan of the Elise also.

the tires on the maro are small as is as they are 8.0 -9.5 (which is the ws6 size.)

i hope the camaro has better brakes than our 12 year old f-bodies.

lotus' are a apple to oranges comparison to the maro...as the elise is a small two seater with very little creature comforts and is not mass produced as the camaro.

so tell me again ..what PROBLEMS are there with that car since it is heavier ?

It gets harassed in the school yard... being called, "fatty" "tons o fun" "lunchbox" and "saddle bags" Kids can be so cruel.
