2009 Camaros.....!?!?!

IT will grow on you once you see it in the flesh and somewhat modded. It pays homage to the original cars from which all of ours arose.

I think they are nice no matter what. And with the powerplant under the hood...mmmmmmm!

not sure if this is the right forum for the thread, but i actually fell in love with the design as soon as i saw it. i definately plan to buy one (prob not till 2010 or 2011 until they work all the bugs out though).

Good thinking but i don't think too many people will care. But very smart. Never buy a car on its first year. There are all sorts of shit that goes wrong with them.

I don't think the camaro will have too much wrong because they have had since 02 to redesign and produce it. If it was back in 04 with a major design change, i would have anticipated a lot of problems. But I dont think it will have many probs.

When will this whole "retro" craze die? If I wanted a 1969 Camaro, I would buy one... Both the new Camaro and Mustang look like ass. The "new" Challenger is OK, but is way too porky. I owned a 1970 Challenger and there is no comparison...

Thats what I think the new Camaro looks like.
Don't know anything about the engine.
I bought a '69 Z-28 in 1972 with factory chambered exh., it was a GREAT car.
I have also owned a 1969 ss with a '70 L-78 in it.
Don't think the new Camaro will be as brutal as the '69's.
Those cars were special, although the ss did not have the original engine.
I love my 2002 ss, SLP loudmouth, SLP lid (coming when they get it to me)
A4 - 323's. Future will have Yank ss3600 vert.
Our 4th gen. Camaro's still have that muscle car design.

i like mine (2000) the new camaro will run okay but will cost an arm and a leg for high 12s maybe, i dont think i will be buying one just smoking there ass!!!

also every 2-3 years they change some parts on the car to make it go faster/give more hp. look at the diff between the 98-00 and 01-02. i bet people who ordered a new 00 were pissed as hell when they found out about the new 01's with the ls6 intake and no egr.

i think the retro thing is kinda played out, but when it comes down to it...i think all the new cars are so sweet. the stang is sweet, especially modded ones (rims etc) and i think the new camaro is way more badass lookin than the c6. i like the challenger too though. i like my 4th gen alot, but if i had the cash, i'd get a 09 camaro in a second.

Im just gonna put it this way, If i had the money to buy a new camaro I would! I think they look sweet. I wouldnt trade or sell my 2002 SS just to get me a new camaro though. The new camaro is a matter of opinion a lot of people like it and a lot of people dont, but as long as it has the words Chevrolet THEN ITS ALL GOOODD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the SD auto show and I think they look pretty good IRL. The only way I'd buy one is maybe a Z11 with an LS7 (if offered).

I love my 02 SS. They don't look nothing like the first camaro's but more like the '70's camaro's. I do like the new vert camaro. I seen a pics of in and i have to say american muscle never looked so good.

So far I'm not to impressed with them. I'll wait until I get to see one and drive one before I make my mind up. Now only if they bring the Trans-Am's back and bring them up to date and not make them look like all the new G lettered cars.

I plan to be sporting one in 2010, possibly a vert again even.

I have a desire to own a nice '69 Camaro someday, but its getting harder and harder to find them. Its a huge compliment IMO for something to maintain its respect 40 years later, so much so, that a retro car is designed/manufactured after it. Add to that the drivetrain possibilities that are being suggested for it, and hell yes I will proudly sport one.
