anybody know what the correct backspacing for the SS camaro 17x9 rims . I'm going to get some new Centerlines Competion series split-spoke or qualifiers. I called centerline and they said the correct backspacing would be 7 inches. I called SLP and they said the backspacing on the 17x9 SS wheels is 4 3/4. has anybody run a set of centerlines on thier 02 Camaro??

I've never checked the backspacing on mine but since the wheels is 9" wide and nearly all of that is on the inside offset, I'd be inclined to say that Centerline is probably correct at 7".

The 4 3/4" backspace that SLP is calling for is typical for an old 15x7 or 15x8 steel wheel that basically has the mounting flange centered inside the rim with a deep outside recess.
