2000 Impala for 98 LS1 Camaro

ok heres the story i been searching for an LS1 Camaro for a long time and found many,but some how i could not find that right one that i really would like to buy and the ones i would like to buy either are a little pricey or gets sold quickly,but a friend of the family has this 98 LS1 Camaro she would like to trade me for my 2000 Impala,her husband got her the car as a gift some years back,but she doesnt want it anymore because its too fast and their family is growing,its her daily driver so shes complaing about gas also,the car is very well maintained and all the work she has done to it gets done at my uncles shop in new orleans my Impala has a clean title,is clean inside & out everything works just got a new engine and would be a better car for her IMO,the camaro has headers ory full exhaust,slp lid,leather,ttops auto transmission with shift kit,rebuilt rear end i dont know if its been tuned but i have driven the car and it seems to be a solid car,she had the zr1 wheels with the ss badges on it when she first got it,but now she has 16inch firebird wheels with brand new tires on it as of now,the car is at my uncle shop for a full tune up,plugs,wires,fuel filter etc.the camaro has a clean title never been wrecked to my knowledge,its not a real SS although it has the ss wing & hood i looked at the RPO codes,i dont like the color of the car its a chamillian green,if i trade i plan on painting the car black with black & silver c6 zo6s,put in a t/a cluster & t/a hvac controls & t/a door panels also oh yeah the car has 100k on the clock do you guys think i should trade her?

Camaro Pros: Well Maintained,LS1 V8,A4,TTOPS,A/C,Heat,Leather,headers,ory,full exhaust,slp lid,clean title,rebuilt rear end,interior in good condition,already has ss hood & wing
Camaro Cons: Color(plan on painting it black)but still needs a paint job its a 98(i wanted a 99-02) 100k miles

Impala Pros:New Engine,Clean Title,Great On Gas,A/C,Heat,Clean Inside and Out Everything works great
Impala Cons:none at the present moment

The Camaro has all the SS goodies, but Z28 exhaust ??

Cons on the Impala, it's not a Camaro.

If the mileage is similar on both vehicles, I'd do it.

I would do it but I am a died in the wool car guy,the Impala has no soul and the Camaro will be fun to drive and mod.

Those aren't ZR1s, they're V6 Firebird 16's. Other than that, if she's dumb enough to trade an LS Z for a W-body Impala, do it before she wises up.


Edit: I just saw where you posted that regarding the wheels, but still, it's trading a huge POS for a worthy car.

It would definitely be a trade in your favor. Anyway, who cares. Do it for the fun factor alone. You'll have plenty of time to rest in peace many years from now if it was a mistake.
