Lee Crane
New Iberia, LA
When you're building a car for the track, it's a good thing to have a goal in mind. Lee's goal? Mid 11s in the quarter-mile would suffice. He started by dropping in a 0.060-inch-overbore 450hp small-block with an Eagle bottom end, a Lunati roller cam, Weiand intake, and a Holley 750 carb. When it came to the transmission, Lee relied on a tried and true Turbo 350 to push the 3,200-pound Corvette with 4.33:1 gears out back. The 'Vette is once again under the knife, and plans call for 10.50s with a 575hp combo.
