    LapTop for Sale...

ok I have had it with my laptop so if anyone who knows how to work on computers OR knows a place they can take it that they can trust I am willing to let this thing go for 200$ it is a very nice laptop however it needed the power jack in the back replaced and hasnt been soldered right since then.

It is an HP 5000 series with a DVD burner, 3.06 GHZ pentium 4 processor, 15.4 inch widescreen and 512 ram. It also has a card reader. It is a very nice and fast laptop i am just sick of dealing with it. PM me if interested.

Well i have brought it back twice and they cant seem to solder it to where it will stay connected without breaking from pulling the jack in and out. Aside from that nothing that I know of.

The heavyweight of this roundup, the 8.5-pound HP Pavilion zx5000 is a desktop replacement in every sense of the term. No one would buy it to carry around campus. But as a multimedia system that stays put in a dorm room, this is a superb value that won't disappoint.

Both the bright 15.4-inch wide-screen display and outstanding Harman Kardon speakers lure gamers to the zx5000, as does its high graphics performance: It scored tops (57.1) on the 3D-intensive Serious Sam SE test, thanks to the ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 graphics solution.

Aside from your standard ports, there are three USB ports, a 5-in-1 flash card reader, as well as a proprietary USB digital drive for reading SD cards.

The Pavilion's software bundle stands out with Microsoft Office 2003, Quicken 2004, and multimedia applications, including Roxio's Easy CD Creator and InterVideo WinDVD.

The zx5000 was in the middle of the pack on Business Winstone (16.2), and it scored above average on Multimedia Content Creation Winstone (22.7). Although it will mostly stay plugged in, its battery life (2 hours 46 minutes) is impressive for a desktop replacement. And its 802.11g wireless solution is also solid, receiving strong throughput (5.4 Mbps) at 160 feet.

The zx5000 is a feature-packed workhorse—good for both work and play, as long as you don't plan on sprinting across campus with it

Oh and just to clarify.. I just reread over the specs and it says DVD/CD RW drive. This computer DOES have a DVD burner on it. It was my main reason for selecting it.

something just seems fishy that you paid 1400 a year ago and the only thing wrong with it supposedly is some solder... so youd sell it for only $150? I dunno no offense

I have a new laptop and the thing broke on me a couple times and this shop here cant seem to get it to stop breaking the solder.. I have no use for the laptop so either I give it away or try and get some money for it. I have said this a few times.. LOL should I up the price to make you feel better?

Well all it came with was a power cord as far as cords.. It is a laptop. No Manuals or box. I have moved twice since I had it so I only kept the laptop and restore discs and a couple of programs that it came with. Like I said it will not power on until you have it resoldered. It has broken on me twice that I had fixed and then this last time I just did not want to deal with trying to have it fixed again. This will be a good laptop if you know how to fix it yourself or if you know a good computer guy..

And yes I still have it. Just PM me if you are still interested.
