    WTB: ls1 shortblock or rotating assembly!

    i need a shortblock for my camaro. would prefer new but if someone has one that is low miles i would go with it. i would like a 383 or 408 but i'm up for options just let me know what you have. thanks in advance.

    since no one has anything for sale whats a good place to buy short blocks or rotating assemblies at a decent price?

    Good luck. I'm in the same boat almost. Thinking about rebuilding my current block, but I'm not sure if it'd be worth doing that or just buying a short block.

    Trust me I have looked. You will come out ahead if you go with a forged short block, from the start. Can get one just as cheap or if not cheaper than doing a rebuild.
    When it comes to piecing everything together with the correct parts and then machine shop costs ect.ect.ect.
