take it to discount tire and they work with people to repair, which is cheaper for you. they go through wheel technologies or another company. if not let me know and i might be able to help further. the cost is normally $135 and they do great work. let me know how it goes, are you still in. I'm a SFC here in austin, what do you do.

So I take it that they will put it on a lathe or grinding machine to smooth out the edge? Also I think there is some type of coating on these rims. Leesville is where I live. I guess I can look online and find the nearest discount tire store. I take it that it is a chain of stores. A brand new rim from GM is too much money.

Yes I am still in. In the reserve. total of 23years now. 10 active and the rest reserve. I am an Instructor. I do travel to Ft. Hood quite often to teach. My civilian job requires me to be a member of the Army Reserve. It is a military technician position. I teach various maintenance qualification classes and BNCOC and ANCOC to active and reserve soldiers. It is a good job and I enjoy it. But, my unit is deactivating in April and I have to find a new unit so I can keep my civilian job. Unfortunately, MSG positions are few and far between.

Good to see others in the military here.

Feel free to shoot me an email at thomas.a.chapman@us.army.mil

Austin is not too far from Hood and I will be there at the end of Feb. to evaluate and certify Instructors. If I have not been deployed again by then!

yeah i hear you on mobbing, the optempo is high as crap right now. but anyway they do a great job i've seen some good results, and they look like new when they come back. they fixed cracked wheels and make it look perfect. yeah a new wheel from GM costs about 400 to 500. take care.
