20-30 RWHP not sure on the springs for a LS1 I would get a tune but I don't know that you have too.

Most people tend to go a bit bigger, even the little cam like I put in gains close to 40 RWHP with a tune (at least in my case). Most would consider it alot of work for small gains when you can get much more without losing much. However, with the LS6 cam you should have a very streetable ride, and have no problems getting it in an LS1. I would also get at some springs to go with it. Maybe some 243 heads from a Z06 is can swing it

ya ur probably right. but for me, id be doin all the labor in shop class so idc about doin the work. i enjoy stuff like that. i just figured itd be real cheap especially if u didnt have to get springs or a tune with it... but if u do, then might as well get something bigger.

I ran the LS6 cam and like it alot, you will need to upgrade the springs. I went with the LS6 springs and on a Predator tune (which is very conservative) with LT and dual exhaust made 367 to the wheels.

I ran an LS6 cam in my vert Alex. You have to do springs, LS6 springs are fine but the stock springs can't handle the LS6 cam. Tuning is optional. I gained about 15 RWHP with the cam without tuning, about 30 with tuning. Its a mild enough cam that the car can run with the stock tune though.
