    Success!

After weeks of waiting, I finally had plenty of free time to do the install. Took about three hours and that was with a break for some food. It would have been faster but I opted to solder everthing rather than crimp. Overall it was pretty easy... except removing the engine control module. That thing was a pain to take in and out. I had to half remove the plastic cover at the bottom of the windshield to get it. The only other issue I had was the positive battery stud on the drivers side was rusted tight. So, I had to get a second nut to put on top of the seized one. But those were my problems, the kit and instructions were very good.

So the results? When rolling the windows up or down at the same time there is NO comparison. Much faster. When just using the passenger window alone it is faster also, just not as dramatic a difference. Would I do it again? You bet.

Like stated below- for great write-ups, do a search in tech for autotrix.

Yes, the response at tech is great....great comments, great results, and awesome customer write-ups! We have had people start threads (at tech of coarse) about how great the customer service is and some have posted their before and after videos!

Not much of any chatter on this board....seems like everyone just wants to put you down, argue, or talk about something pointless.

Yeah, unfortunately, there's some of that here.

By the way, do you know of any pictures that I can look at to see exacly what's involved with doing this window mod?

Our instructions are fully detailed with step by step proceedure and pictures. We have had very unskilled hands successfully install this kit.
Basic parts that must be removed are: Passenger door panel, kick panel, and lower dash cover. Also you must unbolt the PCM's mounting bracket bolts and slide the PCM out of the way. The wiring only pertains to our install and parts provided- and it is color matching- very easy!
    Thanks for your interest

Well I think they would have figured it out when they clicked it...

The server company we host with had some issues. Our site is back up and was only down for a short period of time.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

The passenger side kit is only intended for use on the passenger side.

Our remedy for the drivers side is the Drivers side express down module we offer.

Many people have wired up the passenger kit to work on the drivers side and this does take stress off of the switch but they are still going through their stock GM window express module and stock wiring for the drivers side.

The Autotrix Driver side Express Down Module is a specially designed module along with replaceable relays. It takes a direct fused 12V from the battery and uses relays to switch the power (much like the passenger side kit we offer). The Autotrix express window module, in our testing, shows better voltage/current results and has a true one-touch operation compared to the GM factory equipment; although with this particular item I would suggest having a new motor in place before install.
