G2/Hyperco lowering springs
These are for 4th gen f bodies. Hyperco (suppliers of high tensile chrome silicon springs for most Formula 1, C.A.R.T., IndyCar, and NASCAR teams) made these for Lou Gilotti's early G2 line. They will lower an f body approx. 1.4" front and rear, depending on weight/options. They are; 248-442 lbs. inch progressive front rates, and 73-183 lbs. inch progressive rear rates.
These are powdercoated blue and have some slight rust in spots. They were on the car for about 15K miles. LGM was/is getting $260.00 + shipping/handling new, I'm asking $120.00 shipped. PM me if interested. Thanks for looking.

I would have to get at least $115.00 for these shipped, as it seems that Fed Ex raises their rates DAILY (due to fuel costs they say), and it will probably cost me >$20.00 to ship these, even across town, let alone across the country!!
No, sorry, I don't have any pics of the car when these springs were installed. My ride was never very "blingpimp"/special, so I never bothered with pics.

Possibly faster, but certainly NOT less expensive (at least for Priority Mail).
~$53.00 Priority Mail
~$45.00 FedEx Home Delivery (by end of 4th day)
~$33.00 Parcel Post (who knows how long??)
This is before any insurance or tracking fees. WOW, I have not shipped anything this heavy in a long time. These rates are EXORBITANT!!!

Yeah, it's a shame they are since that would be a GREAT shipping deal, but that would be like the proverbial "putting ten tons of s*** in a 5# bag"!

Actually, I just looked at the largest flat rate boxes (on USPS.com) and IF I could fit 2 springs in each box, I could ship in 2 separate boxes. It would still come out less $$ than any other way, and get there faster. I will get the boxes and check this out tomorrow AM.
Thanks,
Dave H.

It seems that the largest of the flat rate Priority Mail boxes are way too small for even 2 springs. (I just barely fit a Pro 5.0 shifter, in it's original box in one of these!)
Oh well, I guess it's FedEx for these.

They would work better with at least Bilstien HDs, (as would ALL aftermarket springs), but the rates are moderate enough to still work OK with the stock De Carbons (according to the techs at Hyperco).
You will need a spring compressor tool (free loaner at Pep Boys) for the fronts. The rear springs can be put in by hand just by jacking up the body.

That's OK, but it's why I "disclaimered" with "at least Bilstien HDs". The Hyperco tech explained to me that these early G2s were not as "heavy" (stiff) as the later ones, and were meant to be more compatible with the stock De Carbon's valving, although alright with the HDs or even with Koni SA/DAs on the softer settings.
