Bought new Kodak camara and used up power on batteries. It came with no charger; have to purchase separately, just after I shelled out $399.00 for it!!!!!!!!!! SUCKS for me. Anyhow, unit is in perfect shape, not beat up, dropped, scored or anything!! It is still basically brand new. I only used it for the set of springs that were towards the back of the block that are just about impossible to get to. Jegs.com has the unit so you could see it! Go to tools on the left side, will take you to vendors; find Crane Cams and you will see it there. They are asking 115.00 I beleive! Thanks!

Yup,thats the tool!! Depending on mileage, (10,000 miles or less) and bravery, it is possible to change springs on your LS1 without air in cylinder. However you will need a magnet to pull valves that drop slightly. If you never changed a cam in an LS1 before or have previous experience with spring removal, I recommend you use compressed air or the rope method. This Crane Compressor make the job REAL easy! It does 2 springs at the same time and centers/locates the compression around the retainer so that compression is even on both sides and does an awesome job centering around the valve; doesnt touch the valve, helpful if you are not running air in cylinders! Use magnet to retrieve tip of valve if one slides down some! I personally had no problem at 79,000 miles!! But I have experience on changing camshafts on LS1 and that is helpful because I already know what to expect! Using the rope method,(sticking/shoving rope in cylinder while changing springs) is expiditing alternative if you dont have an air compressor. Either way, this unit I found thru Crane is the BEST Ive used and seen, even better than the MORE compressor because it is made of aluminum and the 3/8 ratchet opening starts to round out quick then turns to junk!! Stick to Crane, it WORKS! Anyway, I live here in Kissimmee,FL. I will do $80.00 shipped!!
