If I wanted to sell a 1989 Bonneville for $5000 and someone said they would buy it then the person who bought it really wanted it. This guy wanted the engine, knew the numbers but decided he still wanted to pay that much for it. How can you guys rag on someone who is selling something for more than what you think it is worth but another still decides to pay that much?
I sold a house in Florida for a LOT more than what I paid for. Would I have paid the price I sold it for? Heck no...Doesn't mean I should have sold it for less. When I sold my 1998 Trans Am convertible on E-Bay I never thought people would bid so much higher then the reserve. I disclosed all the good and bad but someone decided they still wanted to pay the price they paid. Total hypocracy...I'd be willing to buy ALL of your cars at the Kelly Book low value, especially if you have all sorts of go fast parts that the Kelly value would never take into consideration. I know you would feel bad about the possibilty of making any type of profit...

Its simple really. They have nothing better to do. The motor was putting out 450 torque and that was with NO simple/ cheap mods. Put headers and full exhaust, lid, smooth bellows, etc, shell suddenly be a lot more impressive. Pure ignorance but hey, they know everything. Right?? Another thing that Americans tend not to take into consideration is the market difference between f-bodies in Canada. There are only 3 (98-02) WS6 trans am's in my city and mine is the only M6. Needless to say, parts are scarce and expensive. A stock fuel pump from the dealer is just under $900 after tax. On ebay, you can get a stock one much, much cheaper. That being said, before you guys start criticising, think. If you aren't interested, move on. Augostino Racing Engine's was one the top (if not the top) engine re-builders in Ontario.

Thanks BostonB for putting things into perspective for some people who are clearly to mentally inapt to understand basic principles.

it wasnt directed at you, it was the other 2 comments. I thought I would try here prior to ebay to save on listing fees.
