Not to side track the OP but the he mentioned "Both have 98-99 smaller cam with brown springs" is there someplace where this info can be found on the various models, I think alot of us assumed all LS1 TB's were a like?

    http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27514

    1998-99 (brown spring)
    12. 1998-1999 LS1 cars had a smaller throttle body cam, which caused the throttle to open to WOT (wide open throttle) faster than 2000+ cars

    2000+ (blue spring)
    10. Throttle body cam was increased in size to slow the speed at which the car reaches WOT

    thanks for looking.

Would you notice a difference, like faster acceleration, or gets rpm's up faster, if going from 2000 to this throttle body?

All that would change would be the ratio as to which your applying throttle. No real performance gain. You may notice a slight difference in response though

So, its not really worth changing from the 2000 to 98 throttle body? Not enough more of a snap in acceleration, to worry about it???

Personally, no i wouldn't bother buying a 98-99 TB as a performance upgrade for a 2000+ car. It would however make a great candidate to be ported and polished... then it would be worth it
